"John has completely conned us. Quoted £1800 to clear guttering by ladder (after visiting to inspect the height as we had said scaffold was needed previously) The high cost was due to the sealing of the wall apparently. He then messaged after the job was reposted on MyJobQuote and quoted £750 for the same job including the sealing. This was reduced to a best price of £650 which was firmed up in writing. He then rang on the day to say he couldn't reach the area! We agreed that the wall vegetation be removed and wall sealed and new fixings added to the downpipe. When I inspected the job there was still vegetation on the wall (most had been scraped off but still some leaves growing) and there was lots of green moss still there too. No fixings had been added to the downpipe. He then agreed to come back and fix everything (including scaffolding to sort the gutter he couldnt reach) and quoted £800 on the basis we paid him the £300 upfront, which we did. After several messages and calls to chase he said he 'couldn't get scaffolding' and that he 'didn't have to do the job'. It was then apparent to me that he had no intention of finishing the job and that he just wanted paid for his shoddy job. He even asked how much I wanted back which made it clear that something was underhand in terms of the quality of workmanship and cost for what was 1 hours' work (he rang at 11.07 at the start of the job and messaged 12.01 to say it was completed). I asked for a full refund. He offered £120 which has never been returned despite saying 'it would be done this week' and 'I'll send it over just now'. Appalling behaviour taking inflated prices for poor workmanship and then conning the £300 payment out of us based on a revised price of £800 with scaffolding on the basis we pay £300 upfront when he clearly knew he would never get scaffolding to 4 storeys for £500 given the rates I've been quoted across Perth, Dundee and Dunfermline. Shameful, dishonest and poor workmanship"

"Spent over a year trying to work with Wayne to get him to finish repairs on our roof to be left high and dry after we were kind enough to give him a loan to repair his van. Had another roofer in today who said that all of Wayne’s led work “repairs” need to be ripped out and replaced to the tune of £9000! We put a lot of good faith in Wayne for over a year for him to cheat us every step of the way. Do NOT use this company!!!"

"They did roof repairs earlier in the year for me. He replaced lead flashing down the side of the roof that needed to be replaced, plus some tiles. I was very happy with the work that was done. I had no hesitation in contacting them again when the storm we had recently left some damage to the chimney caps. All in all, I would use them again and I would recommend them to family and friends. Keep up the good job!"
