Dobbies Garden Centre Dundee

"I visit often and usually head upstairs for a coffee. The coffee is good and the staff generally pleasant. However, the service at the coffee counter is sooo slow. Often there is only one serving despite 3 persons standing chatting to each other at the hot food counter. If I see more than 5 people in the queue I just walk out rather than wait 20 minutes to be served. Needs reorganising"

"Ryan and Hazel ( fantastic service ) We needed assistance with buying a new barbecue and Ryan and Hazel went over and above any expectations we had. They were so patient and friendly, and without their help, we would have walked out empty handed. They are both a credit to Dobbies . We will be back again shortly thanks to them . We really appreciate all they both did to help us ."

"What a poor sorry looking garden centre this has become as soon as you walk in the carpet tiles are all lifting and extremely dangerous in some places and outside isn't much better the plants are in awful condition especially when dobbies want top price for them and also in need of a good watering and looked after. No staff members could be found outside for any advice. The management need a good kick up the backside as a lot of this is down to them in motivating staff and good housekeeping. Definitely will not be back"

"Normally love a trip to Dobbies for some houseplants and something to eat with my son. Shocked at the state of cafe yesterday. 2.15pm and it was like the apocalypse had hit. Barely any food, even though advertised as lunch till 3pm. 20 minutes of queuing just for a couple of coffees and cake. Lots of staff, busy doing nothing. No one interested in serving. Had to ask for plates which seemed to irritate the staff. Then when finally reached the till, guy serving decided to throw in some doric patter while I was trying to deal with my tired young ASN child and laughed in my face when I didn't understand him. Was able to hold normal conversation with customers either side of me so felt very rude. Absolutely no need. Will not be returning, and advise others not to bother with overpriced food and poor service."
