"Fixed the leak but broke my vaccuum cleaner in the process. I borrowed the plumber my hoover, it was returned all right at first glance, but upon use made the whole room sink of chemicals (resin/solvents) and in a couple of minutes went silent never to switch back again. No idea what he vaccuumed anyway as the room was left covered in debris. 100 pounds more expensive repair than expected. The plumber stopped answering my calls saying that the appliance was working upon return, wouldn't ven consider compensating new set of filters (25GBP) to cover for those left soaked in chemicals. My thinking is the glue he vaccuumed in glued my hoover from the insides or somehow dmamaged it enough to make it unuseable."

Stuck to agreed price before work commenced and even did a quick check of all adjacent pipes to the work he carried out. Even rarer for a tradesperson, tidied up everything after he was done.
