"We hired Axe Contractors / Luminoso in February 2025 for a £51,000 home extension but the build warrant was not ready so we kindly gave them the large drive to do. By October, we had paid around £45,000 (including £10k extension deposit which he refused to refund), The contractor stopped attending site and left the project grossly incomplete and badly done, hence us ending the contract Other contractors have confirmed that much of the work carried out did not meet the agreed standards of workmanship and now requires to redone. Based on our dreadful experience, we would very strongly advise others to proceed with extreme caution"

By October, we had paid around £66,000, but the contractor stopped attending site and left the project incomplete hence us ending the contract with no response to letters. An independent surveyor later confirmed that much of the work carried out did not meet the agreed specifications and required significant work to be undone and redone. We have since had to appoint a new contractor and are facing substantial additional costs to rectify and complete the build. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise others to proceed with caution"
