"We recently had 16 solar panels and three 5kW batteries installed. I wanted to complete the installation as quickly as possible to make the most of this year’s sunshine I received a quote from Scottish Energy Enterprise and after the team fully explained the benefits, costs, and expected performance, I found their proposal to be competitive with the other quotes I had received. However, I ultimately awarded them the contract based on their excellent references, which consistently highlighted the team’s professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to delivering a high-quality installation. After confirming that I wished to proceed, I had a consultation with the operations team the following week. They carefully discussed the best installation process and the optimal positioning of the panels. The installation and technical aspects were explained in detail, which made my family and me feel very comfortable and confident in the proposed approach. The next day, the scaffolding team arrived on site. They were professional, hardworking, and completed all preparations safely and efficiently. The following day, the installation team arrived and took care to protect both the downstairs and upstairs carpets with plastic coverings before starting work. Upon arrival, the solar installation team suggested a small design improvement that would provide a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing appearance on the roof. This proved to be an excellent recommendation, and we were very pleased with the result. They also installed bird-proof netting around the base of the panels to prevent birds from nesting underneath. At the same time, the electrical team carried out the cabling work, routing cables neatly under the floorboards, through the roof space, and into the garage. The work was completed with minimal disruption and no mess. The inverter and batteries were installed neatly within our garage complete with fire-protection measures, this positioning and installation was also aesthetically pleasing with cables positioned effectively Later that day, the scaffolding team returned and dismantled the scaffolding just as efficiently as they had erected it Following commissioning and final checks, we were generating electricity from the roof within a couple of days. We have been largely self-sufficient for the past few weeks and have been genuinely impressed by the performance of both the solar panels and the battery system.
